We are looking for an experienced Ad Manager who is perhaps looking to take a step up (or a Senior Ad Manager looking for a fresh challenge). Someone who is inspirational at coaching, motivating and getting the best from a small sales team.
The team are responsible for selling print and digital advertising opportunities that the portfolio of magazines offer. They are working to monthly financial targets, focusing on customers needs, creating advertising campaigns, and being on-brand in representing the titles.
This superb career opportunity is within a company who have shown continual growth and have ambitious plans for the future. Based from head office in Bath you will be a key individual within the business reporting directly to the Sales Director.
It’s important to emphasis that this is a hands-on operational role and for the majority of your week you will selling alongside your team, meeting clients, coaching and mentoring the team to success.
The role will also see you liaise with editorial and circulation teams to plan content and platforms, flat planning. You will be involved in the development and on-going creativity of these magazines creating new strategies; injecting it with new ideas and seeing these titles go from strength to strength.
With overall budget responsibility for your portfolio of titles you will need to be financially adept at understanding accounting lines and reporting targets, forecasts, budgets and plans.

It is vital that you are from a magazine background with experience of managing sales teams, motivating and inspiring them to achieve the best for their advertisers and achieve the revenue targets for the magazine.
You are dynamic, full of drive, you are inspiring to be around, you see this as a great challenge that you haven’t done before and in reading it cannot wait to get your teeth into a role like this and work on these successful products.
You already enjoy all aspects of coaching, training, running sales meetings and more.Perhaps you are a leader of a small team now and know you have a flair for this and can bring many examples of your people management success to the interview.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATES WILL HAVE:
·Proven experience in managing sales teams
·Strong coaching, mentoring experience.
·Full appreciation of one to one coaching to achieve and improve results
·Strong sales background ideally within the media, or magazine industry
·Strong digital advertising knowledge
·Financial ability to set targets and reporting on forecasts and
·Media/publishing background/knowledge
·Tenacity, enthusiasm and determination
·Outstanding communication skills both written & verbal
·Experience of driving teams to achieve set targets
·Ability to review and adapt key business objectives as required
Salary: Basic starting salary up to £30000, alongside OTE £10,000 (uncapped)
