The role: an exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Business Development Coordinator for a 12 month maternity cover contract and take day-to-day responsibility for implementing and supporting a wide range of business development and marketing activity. This will cover tendering for new work, client relationship management, market research and events management, with some requirement to travel to their other offices across the North West and Yorkshire region including Leeds, Manchester and Liverpool to work with other members of the marketing team.
The role of Senior Business Development Coordinator is a very visible one and you will need to be confident liaising with the appropriate business leaders and client teams regarding specific business development activity and opportunities for the local area. In addition, you will make an impact in this role by…

  • Delivering compliant, professionally-produced bids in line with the office’s business strategy for winning work
  • Collaborating with leaders in the Sheffield office to strategise and position the firm to win work in line with our stated goals and market sectors.
  • Supporting the development of relationships with new and existing clients
  • Creating and maintaining sales materials, including presentations, capability sheets, case studies, testimonials, event-specific collateral, photography, etc.
  • Undertaking research and gathering insight, tracking of data and activities in CRM.

To achieve in this role, you are likely to…

  • Have a proven background in bidding, ideally within a business services environment
  • Possess a strong knowledge of wider marketing practices
  • Have excellent knowledge of Microsoft packages including Powerpoint, plus experience of CRM systems (desired)
  • Have good technical writing and proof reading skills
