A growing, successful and ambitious company has an entry (possibly mid) level opportunity for a Marketing Assistant to work across a portfolio of their products (more info on application), and to play a key role in delivering successful campaigns across multiple channels.
This position represents an excellent opportunity to deepen your understanding and broaden your experience of digital marketing and campaign execution. That said, they would consider those who are digitally savvy (ideally with a marketing degree or related degree but would possibly look at those who have a huge passion for marketing).
Reporting to the Marketing Manager the successful candidate will work ‘hands-on’ across a range of marketing activities including copywriting, promotional material production/preparation, email campaigns, weekly newsletters, measurement of marketing metrics, conducting desk research, lead research, social media, basic web editing (using our content management system), managing customer data and more.
You will be comfortable (training can be given) setting up and sending email campaigns and you will be proficient using a range of different software and systems including Google Apps (email, documents and spreadsheets) and Microsoft Word and Excel. Some experience using Photoshop and/or other design applications will be an advantage. You will be quick to pick up new technical skills.
To be considered for this position you must also have a demonstrable understanding of digital marketing, generally - perhaps supported by a marketing degree or diploma.
The successful candidate will be an excellent communicator, a strong team player, self-motivated, eager to learn, flexible and happy to embrace change within a developing online business.
You will also be comfortable working with heavyweight B2B information and able to put compelling propositions forward to an expert, professional community. Attention to detail and a prolific work rate are a must.
