My client is an international organisation with offices based in Bath and they are recruiting for a Systems and Health and Safety coordinator - keep reading:you don't need any prior knowledge of H&S, just the aptitude and the right personality! This is a key role within the Projects Office and Systems team and they are willing to provide training for the right candidate as your personality and team fit is just as important as your previous experience - if not more so.
This role is to work within a team whose objective it is to improve the delivery of projects within the business with emphasis on quality, safety and environment. You will assist in the running of Quality, Environmental and
Health and Safety management systems including the audit programme, monitoring and measurement of the
organisation's environmental impacts, health and safety training and monitoring of KPIs.
The role will be ideal for someone with exceptional administrative skills.
Educated to degree level or equivalent would be ideal but you just need to be a degree quality candidate, someone who is able to deal with all levels of seniority
Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, including advanced Excel
Ability to manage and prioritise a busy and varied workload with minimal supervision
Able to work under pressure to tight deadlines
Flexible attitude with good team working skills
Diligent with good attention to detail
Strong analytical skills
Excellent communication skills with the ability to build good customer relationships
Desirable skills (not essential):
Use of MS Sharepoint
Experience of working in an ISO 9001/14001/OHSAS18001 registered organisation
Good working knowledge of UK Health and Safety legislation and regulatory / enforcement framework (supported by
NEBOSH or other similar level qualifications / experience)
Experience of working in a project delivery environment
Please note that a requirement of this role is that you must be prepared to travel around the UK and internationally on occasions to assist other offices.
