Overview:

The Digital Marketing Executive is responsible for developing, implementing and analysing digital marketing campaigns which will drive App magazine subscriptions sales across the clients portfolio of brands in addition to creating and analysing Content Marketing to support every stage of the sales funnel including awareness, consideration, optimisation and sales conversion. The role will involve working 1 day per week in Bristol.

Responsibilities:

Using agencies and working with internal resources in you will:

  • Developing best-in-class, customer-driven, highly engaging content and maximising our reach and impact through data-driven channels and platform distribution
  • Execute and measure Content Marketing Strategy ensuring all commercial and customer metrics are delivered, providing key customer insights and learnings from ongoing analysis
  • Create and distribute dynamic and engaging content through key social platforms, Apple News and Facebook Instant Articles
  • Work closely with Editorial teams around the business to create content marketing plan and schedules for distribution across various platforms
  • Drive, influence and support the development and maintenance of all warm lead nurturing programmes. Work closely with the wider marketing team providing content to meet their ongoing objectives
  • Rapidly develop test/learn/test plans to successfully drive business results in the content arena
  • Paid distribution experience, including partners and paid social ( Facebook, Pinterest, Instagram and Twitter)
  • Ensure content is optimised for SEO
  • Grow and nurture audiences across social, Apple News and other digital platforms
  • Implement digital marketing campaigns across a large range of channels including email, social, push notifications and display
  • Responsible for the end to end management of campaigns covering research, briefing, copywriting, implementation and analysis of campaign performance
  • Digital subscriptions – devise and implement campaigns to drive IAP (in app purchases) and shell downloads with a focus on subscriptions
  • Use web and social analytics such as Google Analytics, Facebook Insights and TweetDeck to optimise performance and customer journeys
  • Track cost and revenue KPIs for each campaign maintaining performance trackers at brand level and for portfolio campaigns, presenting this information at team meetings when necessary

Qualifications:

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent, preferably in marketing
  • Proven successful experience in digital marketing, with a track record in digital campaign management
  • Social media expert, able to lead on a social media best practice for the business
  • Demonstrable experience of creating successful content marketing plans across several platforms
  • Highly capable and able to demonstrate creating engaging content which develops leads for conversion
  • Developing and significantly growing audiences through content marketing
  • Awareness of developing trends in Publishing such as Apple News and Facebook Instant Articles
  • Experience of working with Email Service Providers, preferably Adestra and competent in building and launching email campaigns
  • Numerate and analytical, with a strong understanding of Microsoft Excel and web analytics, specifically Google Analytics and the ability to present comprehensive results using such tools
  • Knowledge and experience of HTML
  • Knowledge and experience of Adobe Photoshop
  • Experience of social campaign management
  • Experience of App marketing to various platform stores
  • Knowledge of Push Notification campaign management is desirable
  • Strong understanding of current online marketing concepts, and best practice
  • Excellent copywriting skills with outstanding ability to write marketing copy depending on channel and excellent SEO skills
  • Able to communicate clearly (in writing, presentations and on a one-to-one basis) to all stakeholders
